All importers of lead acid batteries must submit this undertaking to the Director of Environment and FIRCA (Fiji Islands Revenue & Customs Authority) as required by Part 2 of the Environment (Waste Recycling) Regulations 2007.

Read and confirm the undertaking before signing.

The Facility Undertakes To:

Collect back the used batteries in accordance with Part 2 of the Environment (Waste Recycling) Regulations 2007 in place of the new batteries imported and sold, and to send these only to a permitted recycler;
Submit quarterly returns of all disposals of batteries in accordance with the Regulations to the WPC Administrator and to abide by its directions, if any;
Maintain records of all batteries imported, distributed, collected and sent for recycling;
Not sell or transfer batteries to any party unless proper collection and recycling arrangements are in place;
Comply with all conditions of any recycling permit issued in connection with this undertaking.
